instrumentation for temperature sensing and SiPM R&amp;D and calibration in cryogenic environments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overhead crane<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Readout system for RTDs with 24 channels and 0.3 mK intrinsic resolution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Readout system for FBG fibers  (interrogator) with 16 channels and 30 fm wavelength resolution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pressure controlled vessel to change the temperature of cryogenics liquids. Used for FBG sensitivity measurements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 liters dewar for SiPM characterization (MASSIBO, right image)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1.5 m tall, 15 cm diameter  dewar for studying FBG sensitivity and reproducibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polystyrene dewar with several concentric volumes for RTD calibration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cage to store cryogenic liquids and pressurized gas bottles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optical cryostat: parts received at IFIC, (see below). wp-elements-e4aa82f431d69496e0950cd1df6634c6\">Electronics laboratories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-body-font-family has-medium-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.5\">Electronics laboratory dedicated to the design, assembly, prototyping, and characterization of PCBs and instrumentation for detector R&amp;D. The group benefits from access to IFIC&#8217;s general technical service, which provides PCB fabrication (CNC machining and chemical etching), professional soldering services, high-resolution optical inspection, and reflow ovens.<br>In addition to this shared facility, the group operates a dedicated in-house laboratory equipped with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Multiple soldering and rework stations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-resolution inspection microscope<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Large stock of electronic components for rapid prototyping<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instrumentation for PCB testing and characterization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This laboratory supports the development and validation of electronics for the neutrino group, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gain characterization of transimpedance amplifier boards for silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) readout<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testing and validation of custom-designed PCBs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of dedicated prototypes such as:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strain gauge monitoring systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacuum feedthrough electronics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process automation and control boards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temperature control and monitoring systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility is also prepared to evaluate electronics under conditions close to their final operation environment, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vacuum conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Controlled pressure environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cryogenic operation setups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-body-font-family has-medium-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.5\">This capability ensures reliable wp-elements-9b11ba0ebf414d45c44b2e8d424df16a\">NEXT-DEMO++ Laboratory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-body-font-family has-medium-font-size\" style=\"line-height:1.5\">The IFIC hosts a fully equipped laboratory for the R&amp;D in high-pressure TPCs, as well as for the construction of specific parts of the NEXT detectors. In particular, the NEXT-DEMO++ detector (a 1 kg-prototype of NEXT-100) and a complete gas system for its operation are installed in a 20 m2 clean room. It will host the p-COLINA demonstrator, a small-scale prototype of the COLINA detector.
