Our group is strongly involved in post-graduate education in three official Master degrees of the University of Valencia. One of these is the Advanced Physics Master (AP-Master), with teachings in different courses (Experimental Nuclear Physics, Experimental Particle Physics, Experimental Techniques in Nuclear and Particle Physics) and supervision of Master Thesis ( so-called Trabajo de Fín de Máster – TFM, de 18 Credits). The other two Masters in which our group is involved are related to applications of nuclear and particle physics and technologies to medicine and environment: The Medical Physics Master, and the Environmental Radiation Protection Master.
Several TFM subjects related to detector R&D, data analysis or simulations, are proposed each academic year by the senior researchers and postdocs of the group to the AP-Master students. These subjects offer a valuable training with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and advanced simulation and data analysis tools for the development of noble element detectors for neutrino physics. In a period of about six months, the Master students involved become part of the research group, usually sharing their work with the group PhD students, which may eventually contribute to their supervision. The TFM experience within our group has shown to be the gateway to successful research career for highly motivated Master students. Admission and grants opportunities in the AP-Master may be found in the links below.
